The truth is, I really don't eat like shit all the time. I live a pretty active life, I enjoy to go to the gym and my daily diet consists of healthy foods for the most part like lean proteins, simple carbohydrates and good fats. Considering how active I am and the fact that I do eat consistently healthy, I enjoy to splurge sometimes with my friends. I'm not out there promoting the basic broccoli and brown rice diet for the lean gains. I just believe in balance, and a balance between eating good most of the time with a few splurges once in a while is fine with me.
One day of bad eating won't hurt you, same way one day of good eating won't benefit you. I try to keep those bad eating days to a limit, but if I pass my needed amount per day, I don't really stress it. After all, I'm not a physique competitor or bodybuilder so I'm not under any pressure. Nor am I some sort of nutrition expert that's telling you to go out and eat healthy and how much to eat or what to eat. On the other side, I'm not telling you to go out and stuff your face with whatever you want either. This section is simply just talking about my love for food and how I balance my intake. Probably my favorite section within this entire blog. The old version of myself is probably going to appear again after finishing this, to be honest. I'm going to try to write this post the best I can without sounding like a fat ass, so go easy on me on the comments!
Food-Comida-Cibo-طعامHow I love you so. One of the many pleasures of life; it can either make you, or break you. Anybody who knows me know the amount of food I can take in. I've been told by many people to enter food eating contests because from what they've seen, they were impressed. I mean, yeah I suppose I can eat a lot of food, but isn't the point of food eating contests to eat within a certain time? I like to enjoy my food, not necessarily shove it down my throat, however I have nothing against it! I can't tell you how many times I've gone out to eat with my friends late at night to chow down on some food at one of my favorite restaurants: Miller's Ale House. Fortunately for us, the company began in Florida, where I'm from, so there is an Ale House in almost every city here! I absolutely love it! My buddies and I would always get the same thing on the menu: The Zinger Mountain Melt. A pile of deliciousness, yet very unhealthy, consists of french fries, chicken fingers, cheese and more cheese, bacon bits drizzled on top and a bit of scallions for garnish; also with your choice of bleu cheese or ranch for a dipping sauce. All the food is piled up into what is to look like a mountain of food, hence the name, "Mountain Melt". Another name for it is the Artery Clogger. Just kidding! But really now...
There was a time last year where I would literally have a Mountain Melt everyday for more than week (not only was this a lot of calories, it was pretty costly $$). Of course though, no regrets because my taste buds and I enjoyed the hell out of it. There are so many more crazy food stories that I would love to share with you guys, so I promise I will share them! |
